VIP Industries Partners with Vector Consulting Group to revamp its Supply Chain

Speaking about the new engagement, Mr Puneet Kulraj, Director, VCG said, "Category of luggage is evolving from a utility item to a lifestyle product which means rapid addition of varieties for supply chain and highly variable demand patterns. The inflexibility of a forecast based supply chain is a bane for such environments. Stock outs and excess inventory is inevitable. Rather than trying to improve forecasts, VIP is taking the right step of building a supply chain which can react very fast to changing demand patterns."

Commenting on engaging with VCG, VIP Industries Managing Director, Ms Radhika Piramal said, "VIP Industries is India’s #1 luggage company with core strengths in brands and distribution network. We now want to leverage these strengths by improving operational efficiencies. After a lot of research, we chose Vector based on their experience of implementation in India. I am confident that Vector’s supply chain solutions will show positive impact within 12 months."
